Hosting Board of Directors RETREATS is a common practice of nonprofit organizations. This week, I asked this question via Facebook “should nonprofit organizations do in-person Board Retreats this year?” The comments of “yes” or “no” so far are about equal. Board retreats are useful to jump start and plan for the next fiscal year. During the retreat, many nonprofits review their strategic plan and assess progress. They also, reflect and fellowship with one another to gear up for their work in the upcoming year. I highly recommend this practice. So, don’t forfeit your annual board retreat. Pivot, and do a “virtual board retreat”!
